Cherokee 4-H Club Hosts Rabies Clinic

The clinics will be held Saturday, April 19 in three sessions at nine Cherokee County elementary schools.

The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department will join forces with the Cherokee County 4-H Club to host a rabies clinic for residents who've yet to vaccinate their pets.

The clinics will be hosted at nine Cherokee County School District facilities in three sessions: 9 a.m. at R.M. Moore, Hickory Flat and Oak Grove elementary schools; 11:15 a.m. at Clayton, Woodstock and Sixes elementary schools; and 2 p.m. at Ball Ground, Holly Springs and Canton elementary schools.

Rabies vaccination fees are $10 per animal, and residents do not have to live in Cherokee County to participate.

The clinics will be held in the school parking lots, and residents are asked to keep their pets in their vehicles for safety purposes.
