Nonpartisan candidates were given until noon Saturday to file the necessary paperwork to get their names on the July 31 primary ballot.

But no one took advantage of the extension, Cherokee elections supervisor Janet Munda said on Tuesday.

 for all other candidates ended at noon Friday.
