Bob Barr Will Speak in Canton on Feb. 26

The former congressman is now a lawyer and champion of gun rights.

Bob Barr, who was the Libertarian Party's candidate for President in the 2008 election, will be apearing as a speaker at the Rotary Club of Canton's Feb. 26 meeting.

Since leaving the House of Representatives in 2003, Barr has remained politically active. He is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and has been called "Mr. Privacy" by The New York Times because of his efforts to preserve privacy rights.

The Rotary Club of Canton meets every Tuesday at noon at the Cherokee Conference Center. Meetings are for members only, but non-members can ask to be invited as guests.
