Missing Teen Found Safe

Andrew Gregory McIntyre never boarded his school bus this morning, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.

Update 2:26 p.m.

Andrew Gregory McIntyre has been found.

"Detectives have located the 17-year-old male," Lt. Jay Baker said. "He is fine."

Original report 2:11 p.m.

A 17-year-old Woodstock boy with a learning disability is missing, the spokesman for the said this afternoon.

Andrew Gregory McIntyre was heard leaving his Copper Ridge Drive home this morning to get on a school bus, Lt. Jay Baker said in a news release. But he never boarded the bus and he didn't make it to school.

Baker said the 5-foot-10, 130-pound teenager with brown shoulder length hair has been communicating with someone in Illinois.

"It is possible he is on his way there," Baker said. "He left his home on foot. Authorities are concerned for his safety."

Call 678-493-4117 if you have information about McIntyre's whereabouts.
