Update: Murder Suspect Waits in DeKalb
A Canton woman's boyfriend shot her in Dallas, dragged her body into a bathtub, then drove to DeKalb County and confessed to his estranged wife.
Michael Paul Lucking, the 40-year-old man , remains in the DeKalb County Jail, an official said Monday.
"He is still here," said Sgt. Adrion Bell, a spokesman with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. "We do not have any information on when he will be extradited."
Melissa Ann Affatato, 26, was shot in the head during an argument with Lucking, who dragged the woman's dying body into a bathtub, according to a report in The Dallas Morning News.

The couple met a few months ago at an Atlanta strip club and recently moved to Dallas.
After the shooting, investigators said, Lucking drove to DeKalb County and confessed to his estranged wife, who called authorities.

“I shot and killed my girlfriend at 11:15 a.m.” Wednesday, he told the officers, according to documents obtained by the newspaper.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported late Saturday that Affatato previously lived in Canton.
Attempts to reach her family on Monday were unsuccessful.
