Two Cherokee Firefighters Promoted To Rank of Sergeant

Phillip Carlisle and Kevin Hamilton were both promoted in a ceremony held in Canton.

Two Cherokee County firefighters were recently promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Firefighters Phillip Carlisle and Kevin Hamilton were promoted to the rank during a ceremony earlier this week at the Cherokee County Administration Building in Canton.

The ceremony was attended by numerous firefighters, chiefs and family members.

Carlisle came to work for Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services in January 2007 while Kevin Hamilton started in September 2008. 

Hamilton was a volunteer firefighter before transitioning to a full-time firefighter for the county.

Carlisle live in Buford with his wife Rebecca and Hamilton lives in Cumming with his wife Sherri and son Austin.
