Two Canton Residents Nabbed in Cherokee Outstanding Warrant

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office SWAT Team arrested a dozen suspects on a variety of offenses in an all-day campaign to serve warrants.

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office SWAT Team on Tuesday arrested 12 people on various charges during its search of residents with outstanding warrants.

The team, a multi-agency group made up of officials from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Holly Springs Police Department and the Woodstock Police Department, canvassed the streets between noon and 10 p.m., conducting 20 searches of homes that resulted in the arrests.

  • Kaitlyn Rhodes, 19 years old of Canton, arrested for violation of probation; remains in custody with no bond.
  • Uriah Waits, 30 years old of Canton, arrested for possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce; released on a $955 bond.
  • Don Davis, 34 years old of Woodstock, arrested on a bench warrant; released on a $1,420 bond.
  • Ester Razo, 18 years old of Acworth, arrested for failure to appear; remains in custody with no bond.
  • Jordan Cross, 22 years old of Woodstock, arrested for violation of probation; remains in custody with no bond.
  • Sarah Lanning, 48 years old of Woodstock, arrested for hit and run; was released on an $830 bond.
  • Travis Taylor, 23 years old of Acworth, arrested for violation of probation; remains in custody with no bond.
  • Ricky Phillips, 32 years old of Waleska, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, 2 counts of obstruction of an officer, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of a drug related object; remains in custody with a $14,195 bond.
  • Sarah Ashe, 20 years old of Woodstock, arrested for DUI, weaving over roadway, no seat belt and consumption of alcohol by a person under 21; released on a $3,580 bond.
  • Byron Rainwater, 37 years old of Acworth, arrested for failure to appear remains in custody with no bond.
  • A juvenile was also arrested for probation violation and transported to the Paulding Youth Detention Center.
