Threat Lands Man in Jail

Witnesses said Charles Cormier Clifford threatened to "shoot up" the Cherokee County Administration Building and Conference Center on Monday.

A Woodstock man is at the after witnesses told authorities that he threatened to "shoot up" the on Monday.

Charles Cormier Clifford, 59, was arrested at his home on a charge of terroristic threats, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the .

The threat, Baker said, came after Clifford was denied a business license.

"He failed to provide the proper paperwork," he said. "According to witnesses, Clifford threatened to β€œshoot up the place” before leaving the building."

Clifford is being held at the county jail without bond.
