This Week in Canton Crime: Sept. 7-13

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 13:

  • On Sept. 8 at 12:35 a.m., a battery was reported in the 300 block of Golf Course Road.
  • On Sept. 9 at 11:45 a.m., a theft by taking (other vehicle) was reported in the 1 block of Jefferson Circle.
  • On Sept. 9 at 1:21 p.m., a theft by taking (vehicle parts) was reported in the 1700 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On Sept. 10 at 3:20 a.m., an auto was entered in the 900 block of Alexander Ridge.
  • On Sept. 10 at 6:11 a.m., an auto was entered in the 1100 block of Alexander Ridge.
  • On Sept. 10 at 10:20 a.m., an auto was entered in the 300 block of Alexander Ridge.
  • On Sept. 10 at 12:30 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Sept. 10 at 6:54 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 2000 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On Sept. 11 at 8:57 a.m., a theft by taking (purse) was reported in the 100 block of Jamie Drive.
  • On Sept. 11 at 12:09 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 300 block of Market Court.
  • On Sept. 11 at 4:37 p.m., financial transaction card fraud was reported in the 200 block of South Etowah Drive.
  • On Sept. 11 at 4:45 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 100 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On Sept. 11 at 8:05 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 600 block of Alexander Ridge.
  • On Sept. 11 at 8:26 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1800 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On Sept. 12 at 12:17 p.m., theft of services was reported in the 100 block of Rock Creek Lane.
  • On Sept. 12 at 3:55 p.m., a burglary with no forced entry was reported at a residence in the 1 block of Shipp Street.
  • On Sept. 12 at 9:22 p.m., a burglary with no forced entry was reported at a residence in the 600 block of Oakdale Lane.
  • On Sept. 13 at 9:56 a.m., identity fraud was reported in the 100 block of Broad Street.
  • On Sept. 13 at 2:53 p.m., a simple assault was reported on Marietta Highway.
  • On Sept. 13 at 6:00 p.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported at a residence in the 200 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On Sept. 13 at 6:09 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1800 block of Hickory Flat Highway.
