This Week in Canton Crime: Oct. 5 - 11

Here are the latest crimes reported to the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, Oct. 5 and Friday, Oct. 11:

  • On Oct. 6 at 11:20 a.m., a simple assault was reported in the 500 block of Dogwood Street.
  • On Oct. 6 at 11:20 a.m., a battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 500 block of Dogwood Street.
  • On Oct. 9 at 5:12 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 3700 block of Cherokee Overlook Drive.
  • On Oct. 9 at 5:53 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 200 block of Hospital Road.
  • On Oct. 9 at 6:00 p.m., a simple assault was reported on Marietta Highway.
  • On Oct. 9 at 8:58 p.m., a simply battery was reported in the 500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Oct. 10 at 9:30 a.m., identity fraud was reported in the 2000 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On Oct. 10 at 12:59 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Oct. 10 at 4:30 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 2000 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On Oct. 10 at 5:50 p.m., a battery was reported in the 2300 block of River Ridge Drive.
  • On Oct. 10 at 8:50 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 2000 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On Oct. 11 at 12:34 p.m., a theft by taking (auto) was reported in the 300 block of North Etowah Drive.
  • On Oct. 11 at 12:44 p.m., a simple assault (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 5100 block of River Ridge Drive.
