This Week in Canton Crime: May 4-10

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, May 4 and Friday, May 10:

  • On May 4 at 6:50 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 200 block of Marietta Road.
  • On May 4 at 10:50 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 2400 block of Trenton Drive.
  • On May 5 at 11:50 a.m., a battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 3000 block of River Ridge Drive.
  • On May 5 at 2:15 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 1800 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On May 5 at 6:46 p.m., an automobile was illegally entered in the 2000 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On May 5 at 9:30 p.m., a commercial burglary with forcible entry was reported in the 2100 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On May 5 at 11:56 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 100 block of Lakeview Drive.
  • On May 6 at 4:10 p.m., an attempted residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Dr. John T. Pettit Street.
  • On May 6 at 4:18 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 500 block of Hickory Knoll Drive.
  • On May 7 at 5:20 a.m., an automobile was illegally entered in the 300 block of Lee Trail.
  • On May 7 at 4:40 p.m., terroristic threats or acts were reported on North Street.
  • On May 9 at 7:57 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 100 block of Rock Creek Lane.
  • On May 9 at 9:55 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 1200 block of River Ridge Drive.
