This Week in Canton Crime: May 25-31

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, May 25 and Friday, May 31:

• On May 25 at 4:45 a.m., a residential burglary wthout forced entry was reported in the 400 block of Cherokee Street.
• On May 25 at 10:13 a.m., a vehicle with improper brake lights or signal devices was recovered on Riverstone Parkway.
• On May 25 at 10:33 a.m., a vehicle with improper brake lights or signal devices was recovered on Riverstone Parkway.
• On May 27 at 3:24 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 1400 block of Riverstone Parkway.
• On May 27 at 5:48 p.m., a theft by receiving stolen property was reported on Hickory Flat Highway.
• On May 28 at 8:22 a.m., an attempted residential burglary was reported in the 400 block of Cherokee Street.
• On May 28 at 8:44 a.m., a vehicle was broken in to in the 500 block of Cherokee Overlook Court.
• On May 28 at 10:40 a.m., a vehicle was broken in to in the 500 block of Cherokee Overlook Court.
• On May 28 at 10:40 a.m., a theft by receiving stolen property was reported in the 500 block of Cherokee Overlook Court.
• On May 28 at 11:20 a.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 1 block of Lakeview Drive.
• On May 28 at 1:45 p.m., a vehicle was broken in to in the 200 block of Corley Chase.
• On May 28 at 1:51 p.m., a theft by deception was reported on East Marietta Street.
• On May 29 at 1:00 p.m., a bicycle was stolen from the 400 block of Hickory Knoll Drive.
• On May 29 at 3:55 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 1800 block of Cumming Highway.
• On May 29 at 7:30 p.m., a theft of lost or mislaid property was reported in the 2400 block of Riverstone Boulevard.
• On May 29 at 10:07 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 200 block of Meridian Street.
• On May 30 at 6:27 p.m., a simple assault was reported in the 400 block of Alexander Ridge.
• On May 30 at 7:44 p.m., a theft of lost or mislaid property was reported in the 1400 block of Riverstone Parkway.
• On May 30 at 11:33 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 9300 block of River Ridge Drive.
• On May 31 at 5:31 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
• On May 31 at 8:51 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 200 block of Cumming Highway.
