This Week in Canton Crime: June 15-21

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, June 15 and Friday, June 21:

  • On June 15 at 8:45 a.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 100 block of Brown Street.
  • On June 15 at 11:05 a.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 500 block of Marietta Road.
  • On June 16 at 5:43 p.m., public indecency was reported on River Ridge Drive.
  • On June 16 at 7:50 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 1800 block of Hickory Flat Highway.
  • On June 16 at 7:50 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 1800 block of Hickory Flat Highway.
  • On June 16 at 7:59 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 1800 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On June 17 at 1:17 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 200 block of West View Street.
  • On June 17 at 11:58 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 400 block of Alexander Ridge.
  • On June 18 at 2:14 p.m., a residential burglary without forced entry was reported in the 200 block of East Killiean Street.
  • On June 18 at 9:00 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 2200 block of Riverstone Boulevard.
  • On June 18 at 9:00 p.m., financial transaction card fraud was reported in the 2200 block of Riverstone Boulevard.
  • On June 19 at 10:55 a.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 200 block of Marietta Road.
  • On June 19 at 9:19 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 1 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On June 20 at 4:30 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 2000 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On June 20 at 5:09 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 2000 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On June 20 at 9:25 p.m., a battery was reported in the 200 block of Hospital Road.
  • On June 20 at 10:47 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 1000 block of River Ridge Drive.
  • On June 21 at 12:26 a.m., terroristic threats or acts were reported on Riverstone Parkway.
  • On June 21 at 9:15 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 6200 block of River Ridge Drive.
  • On June 21 at 9:55 p.n., a residential burglary without forced entry was reported in the 4300 block of Greenwood Drive.
