This Week in Canton Crime: July 6-12

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, July 6 and Friday, July 12:

  • On July 6 at 2:00 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 800 block of Overlook Trail.
  • On July 6 at 11:15 p.m. a theft by taking was reported in the 200 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On July 7 at 11:29 a.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 1800 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On July 7 at 5:30 p.m., a residential burglary without forced entry was reported in the 1400 block of Oakside Drive.
  • On July 8 at 8:43 a.m., a theft by taking vehicle parts was reported in the 400 block of Brown Industrial Park Drive.
  • On July 8 at 11:12 a.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On July 9 at 4:53 p.m., a theft by taking (auto) was reported in the 300 block of Heritage Drive.
  • On July 10 at 3:00 p.m., a theft by taking was reported in the 1 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On July 10 at 3:30 p.m., a theft by taking vehicle parts was reported on Railroad Street.
  • On July 10 at 4:40 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 300 block of Heritage Circle.
  • On July 10 at 6:43 p.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 500 block of Heritage Drive.
  • On July 10 at 8:45 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 1800 block of Cumming Highway.
