This Week in Canton Crime: July 27-Aug. 2

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, July 27 and Friday, Aug. 2:

• On July 27 at 12:31 p.m., terroristic threats or acts were reported in the 1400 block of Oakside Drive.
• On Jul 28 at 9:21 a.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 100 block of Coppermine Branch Court.
• On July 28 at 11:46 a.m., a battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 100 block of Alexander Street.
• On July 28 at 8:40 p.m., a battery was reported on Lakeview Drive.
• On July 28 at 9:41 p.m., terroristic threats or acts were reported in the 700 block of Marietta Road.
• On July 29 at 3:10 p.m., a simple battery was reported in the 100 block of Franklin Hills Court.
• On July 29 at 6:00 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 100 block of Waleska Street.
• On July 29 at 6:00 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 100 block of Waleska Street.
• On July 30 at 9:00 a.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 300 block of Marietta Road.
• On July 30 at 12:00 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 300 block of Cabinwood Trail.
• On July 31 at 9:22 a.m., identity fraud was reported in the 1100 block of Hearthstone Landing Drive.
• On July 31 at 11:39 a.m., a theft by taking was reported at a building in the 200 block of Creek View Place.
• On Aug. 1 at 12:18 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 200 block of Marietta Highway.
• On Aug. 1 at 5:44 p.m., an automobile was illegally entered on Hickory Knoll Drive.
• On Aug. 1 at 9:15 p.m., an aggravated assault with a firearm was reported in the 2000 block of Marietta Highway.
