This Week in Canton Crime: Aug. 31-Sept. 6

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, Aug. 31 and Friday, Sept. 6:

• On Aug. 31 at 2:00 a.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 1900 block of Old Ball Ground Highway.
• On Aug. 31 at 4:13 a.m., a simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 500 block of Oakdale Road.
• On Aug. 31 at 6:45 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 500 block of Heritage Drive.
• On Sept. 1 at 11:47 a.m., identity fraud was reported in the 1400 block of Oakside Drive.
• On Sept. 1 at 11:52 a.m., terroristic threats or acts were reported in the 400 block of Crisler Street.
• On Sept. 1 at 11:52 a.m., a simple assault was reported in the 400 block of Crisler Street.
• On Sept. 1 at 11:52 a.m., a simple battery was reported in the 400 block of Crisler Street.
• On Sept. 1 at 2:15 p.m., an auto was entered in the 200 block of Hospital Road.
• On Sept. 1 at 8:53 p.m., a battery was reported on Waleska Street.
• On Sept. 1 at 8:53 p.m., a robbery (miscellaneous) was reported on Waleska street.
• On Sept. 2 at 9:30 p.m., public indecency was reported in the 1 block of Waleska Street.
• On Sept. 3 at 3:30 p.m., theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
• On Sept. 3 at 10:55 p.m., theft of services was reported in the 100 block of Juniper Street.
• On Sept. 4 at 2:00 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 100 block of Riverstone Commons Circle.
• On Sept. 5 at 7:30 a.m., an auto was entered in the 500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
• On Sept. 5 at 2:03 p.m., theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
• On Sept. 6 at 12:29 p.m., theft by taking (vehicle parts) was reported in the 600 block of Hickory Flat Highway.
