This Week in Canton Crime: Aug. 17-23

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, Aug. 17 and Friday, Aug. 23:

  • On Aug. 17 at 9:38 a.m., a theft by taking (bicycle) was reported in the 1 block of Hickory Knoll Drive.
  • On Aug. 18 at 2:50 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1400 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Aug. 19 at 8:30 p.m., a theft of lost or mislaid property was reported in the 200 block of Breeze Hill Court.
  • On Aug. 20 at 7:31 p.m., a theft by taking (auto) was reported in the 300 block of Heritage Circle.
  • On Aug. 20 at 10:15 p.m., a theft of lost or mislaid property was reported in the 1500 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Aug. 21 at 1:38 p.m., a theft by taking (purse) was reported in the 300 block of Hospital Circle.
  • On Aug. 21 at 5:24 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1700 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On Aug 22 at 8:14 a.m., a theft by deception was reported in the 900 block of Lower Scott Mill Road.
  • On Aug. 22 at 8:55 a.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 600 block of Elmwood Street.
  • On Aug. 22 at 8:34 p.m., a battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 500 block of Alexander Ridge.
  • On Aug. 22 at 10:35 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 9600 block of Knox Bridge Highway.
  • On Aug. 23 at 3:27 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 200 block of East Marietta Street.
  • On Aug. 23 at 6:58 p.m., identity fraud was reported in the 300 block of Hillcrest Lane.
