This Week in Canton Crime: Aug. 10-16

Here are the latest crimes being investigated by the Canton Police Department.

As usual, the Canton Police Department had a busy week fighting crime and keeping the residents of the city safe from criminals.

In order to help keep residents safe and raise awareness of local crime, the department has gone digital and lists the locations where crimes have been reported in their jurisdiction online.

According to CrimeReports.com, the following crimes took place in Canton between Saturday, Aug. 10 and Friday, Aug. 16:

  • On Aug. 10 at 2:01 a..m, a theft by taking (auto) was reported in the 200 block of Heritage Drive.
  • On Aug. 10 at 5:07 p.m., a burglary without forced entry was reported at a residence in the 6400 block of Greenwood Drive.
  • On Aug. 10 at 7:13 p.m., a burglary with forced entry was reported at a commercial property in the 100 block of Railroad Street.
  • On Aug. 10 at 7:58 p.m., a theft by taking (other) was reported in the 1800 block of Cumming Highway.
  • On Aug. 11 at 4:01 p.m., a battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 900 block of Tiffany Lane.
  • On Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1400 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Aug. 14 at 6:29 p.m., a theft by shoplifting was reported in the 1400 block of Riverstone Parkway.
  • On Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m., simple battery (Family Violence Act) was reported in the 2300 block of Trenton Drive.
  • On Aug. 14 at 8:05 p.m., a theft of lost or mislaid property was reported in the 100 block of Marietta Highway.
  • On Aug. 15 at 4:55 p.m., a theft by taking from a building was reported in the 200 block of Marietta Highway.
