Sheriff's Office Arrests Armed Robbery Suspects
An employee of the store the duo allegedly robbed was able to describe the suspects and their vehicle.
Two people are behind bars today after being arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a Canton business, authorities say.
According to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, Brandon Weaver, 26, of Nelson and Leagh Wright. 27, of Jasper, allegedly robbed The Classic Smoke Shop on Big Oak Drive in Canton at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday.
When Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, a store employee was able to describe the suspect and the suspect's vehicle, including the vehicle's license plate number.

The suspect vehicle was spotted fleeing the scene but was stopped without incident at Cumming Highway and Interstate 575. Deputies took Weaver and Wright into custody and discovered a .45 caliber handgun and cash inside the vehicle.
Both suspects are being held in the Cherokee Adult Detention Center without bond.
