The suspect was living with the three girls he is accused of molesting and their mother, who reported him to police.

A Canton man is being held at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center after being arrested by the Canton Police Department and charged with three counts of child molestation.

According to a department release, Oscar Eduviges Vicente, 29, was living with a woman and her three juvenile daughters in a home at the 220 block of East Killian Street. The woman suspected Vicente was acting inappropriately with her daughters and reported her suspicions to police.

The release states that Canton Police officers responded to the complaint at 3:24 p.m. on Aug. 7 and spoke with the mother of the three girls. According to the authorities, Vicente was arrested and charged with three counts of child molestation at the end of a thorough investigation.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a hold on Vicente, and has 48 hours to retrieve him once the county's interest has been fulfilled. ICE believes Vicente is residing in this country illegally.
