New Officers Join Canton Police Department

New officers Patrick Duncan and Jason Patrick were sworn in on Thursday at Canton City Hall.

Two new officers have joined the Canton Police Department.

Officers Patrick Duncan and Jason Patton were both sworn in by Judge Darrell Caudill and presented badges Canton City Hall on Thursday.

Both men were hired by the agency in October and attended the North Central Law Enforcement Academy.

The new officers will spend the next several months in the department's Field Training Officer program, which "provides a foundation for learning that prepares new officers for the complexities of policing today and in the future," the agency said in a news release.
