Missing Canton Woman Found Dead Under Golf Cart
Mary Paulk had not been seen or heard from since noon on Monday.
A 67-year-old woman from Canton who was reported missing Monday night has been found dead behind her home.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office responded to a missing person call at around 9:30 p.m. Monday on River View Court.
When they arrived, the learned the woman, Mary Paulk, had not been heard from since around noon on Monday, said Sheriff's Office Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker.

Baker said a search ensued and deputies located a golf cart on its side behind down an embankment behind Paulk's home.
The woman was discovered deceased under the vehicle, Baker added.

While the agency is investigating the incident, Baker noted no foul play is suspected at this time.
