Original report, 5:23 p.m. Monday
A missing student "may be in danger," and the needs your help finding him.
No one has seen or heard from 11-year-old Elijah Cole, his father Jason Cole or family friend Will Copes since they stayed at a friend's Cherokee County home Friday night, Lt. Jay Baker said this evening.
Cole lives with his father and grandmother in BridgeMill, but the boy and his dad may be "traveling back to Mississippi where Jason Cole and Will Copes used to reside or possibly to Tennessee where the juvenile’s mother resides," Baker said.
"Investigators are concerned because they have not been able to verify the juvenile’s location and it is possible that Jason Cole is off medication that he needs."
The men may be driving a blue 2002 Audi A-6 Station Wagon with Georgia tag No. BMN 7737.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cherokee County Sheriff's Office investigators at 770-928-0239.
