Man Injured After Single-Vehicle Accident In Northeast Cherokee

A man driving along Highway 369 in northeast Cherokee County suffered injuries after his vehicle left the roadway and landed on its side.

A single-vehicle accident left one man injured in northeastern Cherokee County Thursday afternoon.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the accident shortly after 1 p.m. on Highway 369/Hightower Road near its intersection with Lower Creighton Road.

First responders discovered a Lincoln-Mercury vehicle left the highway and landed on its side.

The driver of the vehicle, a 77-year-old male, was entrapped in the car and had to be extricated.

The man suffered cuts to his hand and forearm, and also complained of pain throughout his body.

He was transported by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell where he is in stable condition. 

Both lanes of Highway 369 were blocked until the ambulance left the scene and the cause of the accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
