UPDATE: Husband Charged In Wife's Death Arrested On DUI Charge

Ryan Quinton, who faces vehicular homicide charges in the death of Kali Dobson Quinton, was arrested by the Pickens County Sheriff's Office early Saturday morning.

UPDATE on May 28 at 8:26 a.m.: Quinton was arrested Tuesday evening on a bench warrant after his bond was revoked from his February arrest on vehicular homicide charges, said Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Jay Baker.

He remains in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center with no bond.

The man who faces vehicular homicide charges in the death of his wife on their wedding night was arrested over the weekend in Pickens County.

Ryan Quinton, 28, of Jasper was booked into the Pickens County Adult Detention Center around 2 a.m. Saturday, May 24 on driving under the influence, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to drive within a single lane charges.

Inmate records show Quinton, who has been booked into the Pickens County jail on three other occasions since 2007, bonded out of the facility just eight hours later.

According to the Cherokee Ledger-News, Quinton was pulled over at the intersection Refuge Road and Harmony School Road near Jasper for failing to stop at a stop sign.

A spokesperson with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office told the newspaper Quinton's blood alcohol level was .158 grams, nearly twice the legal limit. 

The Georgia State Patrol has charged Quinton with laying drags, DUI, weaving over roadway, reckless driving and vehicular homicide in the single-vehicle crash that took the of his bride, Kali Dobson Quinton. 

The Quintons were leaving The Wheeler House where they'd just celebrated their wedding when the husband told authorities he tried to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway along Highway 5 in Ball Ground when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Georgia State Patrol. 

The car, a Pontiac Firebird, traveled off the road, overturned and ejected Kali Quinton before it came to rest with the woman trapped under the vehicle.

She died at the scene of the accident.
