Update: Injured Pedestrian From Canton

Pedro Francisco, 20, is in critical condition at WellStar Kennestone Hospital after an accident on Reinhardt College Parkway.

Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle after he darted into traffic as 20-year-old Pedro Francisco of Canton.

The needs help identifying the pedestrian who darted into oncoming traffic on Reinhardt College Parkway on Saturday night and was taken to with serious injuries.

At about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, a man ran across Reinhardt College Parkway near Lucky Street when a vehicle hit him, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sherifff's Office.

"It appears the victim was intoxicated," he said. "The driver of the vehcile will not be charged."

Baker said the pedestrian is Hispanic, in his 20s or 30s, 5-foot-6 and approximately 170 pounds. If you know anyone who may fit that description, call 911.
