Fire Temporarily Closes Taco Bell In Canton

Taco Bell on Marietta Highway is temporarily closed after a fire started outside the restaurant's entrance Thursday afternoon.

The Canton Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that's forced a restaurant to temporarily close its doors.

The agency at 4:12 p.m. Thursday responded to a fire that started outside the entrance of Taco Bell at 1859 Marietta Highway, said Fire Chief Dean Floyd.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and there were no injuries.

Floyd said representatives with Taco Bell will have to meet with officials from Cherokee County Environmental Health Department and Canton Building Department to determine when the business can re-open.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, the chief added.
