Fire Destroys Northeast Cherokee Home

No injuries were reported in the fire.

A fire destroyed a home in northeastern Cherokee County overnight Monday.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the call of a fire at 4365 Ball Ground Road, near the intersection of Hogan Pond Road.

Units from Ball Ground, Free Home and Macedonia fire stations all arrived onto the scene and found the one-story home fully engulfed in flames, according to a CCFES press release.

Firefighters discovered a vehicle parked at the home, and were initially worried a person was inside the burning home. However, no one was at home during the time of the blaze. 

No injuries were reported, and the cause and origin of the fire is being investigated.
