One person is dead after a fiery, early morning crash on Interstate 575.
The victim in the single-vehicle accident has not been identified, but Officer Michael Bowman said the motorist was driving a Ford Expedition on I-575 South when the SUV "left the roadway and struck a bridge wall on 575 northbound" about 3:45 a.m. today.
The Expedition "rode the wall and came to final rest in Cobb County on Hawkins Store Road," Bowman said. "The vehicle then burst into flames."
