Children Progressing After Accident

A 2-year-old who was in the intensive care unit with a skull fracture was released from the hospital after five days.

Sylvia Holloway, the mother of the girls, told the Cherokee Tribune that her 2-year-old daughter, who was taken to  with a skull fracture, then flown to 's Intensive Care Unit, was released after just five days in the hospital.

Two other daughters, a 4- and a 7-year-old who were also sent to Scottish Rite, are progressing as well. Relatives have disputed last Friday's  report that the 7-year-old girl's leg was broken. They've said it was her arm that was broken. 

Around 5:40 p.m. April 20, 27-year-old Joey Holloway drove off Highway 108 near James White Trail in Waleska and slammed into a tree, said Lt. Jay Baker, the spokesman .

Holloway, who is from Canton, is married to Sylvia Holloway, according to the . He's the biological father of the 2-year-old girl and the stepfather of the other siblings.

He suffered no serious injuries in the accident, and no charges have been filed.
