"According to the victim, one of the suspects hit her and took her purse which reportedly contained a substantial but undisclosed amount of cash," said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. "The robbery occurred in front of her brother and two children. The suspects fled the scene prior to deputies arriving at the incident location."

A subsequent stop was the Canton Walmart, according to surveillance footage from the store. It shows four people—two black men, one white man and one white woman—using the woman's debit card.
