Car Lands Upside Down on Highway 372

A young woman managed to crawl away from the wreckage but is not believed to have serious injuries.

A woman has been taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta after extricating herself from a car that landed upside down on Highway 372 in Ball Ground.

According to a Cherokee Fire and Emergency Services release, a Honda left the highway near Flat Bottom Trail just before 6 p.m. Sunday and became airborne. When the car came back to Earth, it landed on its roof, possibly trapping anyone inside.

The 911 caller that notified Cherokee Fire and Emergency Services was afraid someone may have been trapped inside the wreckage, but rescue crews only discovered an 18-year-old woman who managed to crawl out of the car, sustaining minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
