Canton Teen Charged with Robbery

BridgeMill teenager Caden Adams, 18, and a 14-year-old accomplice are both accused of robbing two teens in the neighborhood.

A BridgeMill teenager is behind bars for allegedly robbing two other teenagers in the same subdivision he resides in.

Cherokee Sheriff's Office deputies on Tuesday arrested Caden Adams, 18, of Canton, and charged him with robbery after two teenagers said he and a 14-year-old accomplice allegedly robbed them near a park in BridgeMill.

Deputies with the sheriff's office on Sunday responded to a call at a home in the subdivision.

A parent of a 14-year-old boy told deputies that two 15-year-old boys came to the home and told her that her son and another man "robbed them at gunpoint in the woods near the basketball courts and they wanted to retrieve their property," Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said in a press release.

Deputies discovered that the two 15-year-olds were playing a game of basketball at the park when a 14-year-old "acquaintance talked them into walking into the woods near the courts."

Once they reached the woods, a "hooded" man wearing a mask and holding a pistol robbed them, Baker said.

Baker said the 14 year old allegedly assisted the masked man in searching the backpacks of the victims. The suspects allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash and a hammock before running away.

Investigators issued arrest warrants both Adams and the 14-year-old, who also lives in the subdivision. The 14-year-old was arrested on Sunday, charged with robbery and was transported to the Marietta Regional Youth Detention Center

In their arrest of Adams, investigators found a silver, air soft pistol they believe was used in the robbery, Baker added. He remains at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
