Canton Police to Host National Night Out

The law enforcement agency will hold its National Night Out celebration from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 5 at Cannon Park.

The Canton Police Department will join a slew of other law enforcement agencies to participate in the National Night Out Against Crime.

The city's event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cannon Park in downtown Canton. 

National Night Out is designed to give citizens a heightened awareness of crime and drug prevention, generate public support and participation in crime efforts, strengthen community spirit and police community relations and to let criminals 
know that our citizens are organized and fighting back. 

Residents will be able to enjoy food, music, entertainment drinks, music and demonstrations by the Canton Police and Fire departments. 

Free children identification kits will also be available to parents to help protect their children’s safety. In addition, K-9 officer “Nate” will be on hand to greet everyone.

All residents are invited to come and participate in the event and get to know their neighbors, police officers, firefighters and EMS paramedics.
