A man driving a black and tan station wagon allegedly struck a woman crossing Marietta Highway in February.

The Canton Police Department is looking for the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that occurred last month.

On Feb. 10, a black and tan station wagon struck a woman crossing the street in front of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service at 1750 Marietta Highway, the agency wrote on its Facebook page.

The car, which was being driven by an older white man, then "pulled into a parking space, but upon approach of the victim’s family, left the scene," the agency added.

A partial tag of BKC was obtained. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run or who witnessed the incident should contact the Canton Police Department at (770) 720-4883 or email asmith@canton-georgia.com.
