Canton Police Release Video of Robbery Suspects

The two suspects behind the armed robbery are still at large.

The Canton Police Department has released video of two suspects allegedly robbing Cartersville Jewelry Exchange on Friday.

Police have yet to find the suspects, who fled the city limits in a waiting car on Interstate 575 near Exit 14 after the alleged crime.

Two armed men entered Cartersville Jewelry Exchange, located at 1552 Riverstone Parkway Suite 170 just before 11:30 a.m. Friday and "demanded employees get to the ground," according to a press release from the department.

Police say the suspects then cracked open some of the glass displays, took jewelry from the store and fled the scene driving a dark green Ford F-150 as the getaway vehicle.

A witness followed the suspects near the Hidden Creek subdivision where police recovered the vehicle, which they suspect was carjacked from Atlanta. The men, however, fled on foot.

Police set up a perimeter around the subdivision as "precautionary measure," but a witness later told authorities the suspects tossed the items alongside the road before they got into a waiting car on the interstate, and drove southbound.

Police were able to recover items they believe were related to the crime.

The men are described as African-American. One suspect stands around 6'2 tall, has a medium build and was wearing dark-colored jeans, a red sweatshirt with a hood and white tennis shoes. The other suspect is believed to be six feet tall and was seen wearing a grey hoodie.

Police ask that if you have any information to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-TIPS.
