The body of Cindy Naterman was discovered floating in the lake in northwest Cherokee County Monday evening.

The cause of death of the woman whose body was pulled from Lake Arrowhead Monday evening was drowning, according to an autopsy performed by a medical examiner at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Crime Lab.

The body of Cindy Naterman, 70, of Waleska, was found floating in the lake inside the neighborhood with the same name by boaters who made the call to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.

No foul play is suspected, and the investigation is ongoing, said sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Jay Baker.
