Police: Foul Play Not Suspected in Canton Woman's Death

Sharon Dawn Haim walked away from an Albany rehabilitation facility on Sunday.

Update 3:15 p.m.

Albany Police Department spokeswoman Phyllis Banks just issued a news release about Sharon Dawn Haim of Canton, who was found dead this morning.

According to Banks, officers found the body at 10:24 a.m. at 430 West Tift Ave.

"Foul play is not suspected and her cause of death is unknown," she said. "Haim’s body is scheduled to be sent to the Crime Lab."

Banks said the woman's husband filed a missing person's report on Monday.

Authorities are searching for a 43-year-old Canton woman who walked away from an Albany rehabilitation facility on Sunday and never returned.

Sharon Dawn Haim was at the GraceWay Recovery Residence for Women, a faith-based, long-term substance abuse treatment community for women.

Officials believe she may have returned to Cherokee County, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the .

The agency is assisting the Albany Police Department in the search for Haim, who is 5-foot-7 and approximately 140 pounds. She has "Kevin" tattooed on her left ankle and was last seen wearing a dark pink shirt and gym shorts.

"Investigators are concerned for Haim's safety," Baker said.
