Accident Kills Canton Man

Jason Denny's convertible struck a retaining wall on Hickory Flat Highway early this morning, authorities said.

A spokesman said speed may have been a factor in a single vehicle crash that killed a 36-year-old Canton man early this morning.

Lt. Jay Baker said deputies were called to the scene of an accident at Hickory Flat Highway and Cherokee Overlook Drive in Canton at 1:50 a.m.

Jason Denny died instantly when his Saab convertible struck a retaining wall as he drove west on Hickory Flat Highway, he said.

There were no passengers in the vehicle.
