In Memory: Sue Dobson, Cherokee County Bus Driver

Sue Lyon Dobson, 76, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Sheffield officiating.
Interment will follow in Ponder Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday and Monday at the funeral home.
Dobson was a retired bus driver with 38 years of service to Cherokee County Board of Education. She was a member of Buffington Baptist Church and enjoyed arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Dobson; son, Robin Lamar Dobson; daughter, Debra Simmons and sister, Ann Martin.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Greg (Donna) Dobson of Canton; brothers, John Lyon of Canton and Silas Lyon of Roswell; grandchildren, Jeremy Dobson, Mandy Evans and Erica Spriggs; great-grandchildren, Grace Hunter, Aedan Hunter, Lauren Evans and Emersynn Jaide; and several nieces and nephews.
