In Memory: Mae Garrett, 88
Mae Garrett retired from Tyson's and was a member of Millcreek Baptist Church in Dawsonville.

Mae Garrett, 88, of Ball Ground, passed away on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Harris and Rev. Shane Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Burt Family Cemetery in Dawsonville.
The family received friends on Thursday and Friday at Sosebee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garrett was a member of Millcreek Baptist Church in Dawsonville. She was retired from Tyson’s and enjoyed sewing and making arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mather Garrett; son Cletus Garrett; sister Effie Hicks and brother Walter McClure; survivors include her children Shirley Newberry of Ball Ground, Dorothy Giefing of Talking Rock, Sandra Grizzle of Ball Ground, Judy Cantrell of Dallas, Sam (Pat) Garrett of Ball Ground and Patsy Radford of Ellijay; 33 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
