Cherokee High’s Healthcare Science Program receives Much-Needed Supplies from Hospital

Northside Hospital-Cherokee, a Partner In Education with Cherokee High School, recently donated much-needed supplies to support the school’s Healthcare Science Program.  Several hospital beds, IV poles, bed tables and blood pressure machines were donated to the program, which trains students who have an interest in the medical field.

“The donation of medical equipment and supplies to our school and Healthcare Science Program will help us make health care careers a possibility for many students,” said Debra Murdock, principal, Cherokee High School.  “When our community joins together to benefit our schools and students, great and powerful things become possible.  Northside Hospital-Cherokee and CEO Billy Hayes have once again proven through this donation that our community becomes better when we work together.  Thank you Northside Hospital-Cherokee!”

Northside Hospital-Cherokee has been a Partner In Education (PIE) with Cherokee High School for more than 10 years.

“Through our Partners In Education program, Northside Hospital-Cherokee is committed to enriching the learning and success of our partner schools by providing the resources and support that they need,” said Billy Hayes, CEO, Northside Hospital-Cherokee.  “This was an ideal partnership that aligns the school’s goals with those of the hospital and gives us an opportunity to nurture future leaders in health care.”
