Candidate for Canton City Council

John R. Rust declares his candidacy for the Canton City Council Ward Three in the November election.

My decision to run for City Council is based upon four years of active involvement in Canton City government.  I was recently honored by being appointed to serve on the Vision for Canton 2050 Commission and was elected Chairman.  The Commission is made up of 21 citizens and our goal is provide a plan that will that will prepare Canton for the future.  Our plan will be presented to the City Council for their vote and support.  Canton and it’s, future is truly in the hands of your elected officials and nothing makes that more clear than having closely observed the conduct and performance of the City Council. 

Canton has a very bright future and I know I can help the City of Canton realize its maximum potential by serving as a City Council member.
