Where Can You Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Cherokee?

The cities of Canton, Holly Springs and Woodstock will host Bring One for the Chipper events.

Now that Christmas 2013 is officially in the history books, you are most likely looking for a place to dispose of that Leyland Cypress or Fraser Fir.

Keep Georgia Beautiful will partner with three Cherokee cities to host three separate Bring One for the Chipper events so residents can recycle their undecorated Christmas trees.

Between now and Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, residents can drop off Christmas trees in Holly Springs behind Fire Station No. 8 at 100 Hickory Circle.

On Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, Cherokee residents will have two locations — Boling Park in Canton and Olde Rope Mill Park in Woodstock — to recycle their Christmas trees.

Between 9 a.m and 4 p.m., residents will be able to dispose of their undecorated trees in both locations.

For more information on Canton's event, contact Wendy Wendy Muenzer at (770) 720-7674 or wendy.muenzer@canton-georgia.com.

Residents who have questions about Woodstock's event can contact Kelen Shostak at (770) 592-6000 ext. 1702 or kshostak@woodstockga.gov.

At Holly Springs, Jennifer Stanley can be reached at (770) 345-5536 or at jstanley@hollyspringsga.us.
