Restaurants Serving Free Meals for Veterans on Monday

Other eateries, attractions offering special deals for those who have served.

Attention, veterans and military personnel, deals await next week on Veterans Day as restaurants are offering free or reduced-price meals. And there are some other deals available at metro area attractions.

Head to these participating restaurant chains with proof of military service and they'll have offers for free meals, according to restaurantnews.com, which has compiled a list of the places serving those who have served.

Among the participating restaurants are:
  • Applebee's
  • Chili's Bar & Grill
  • LongHorn Steakhouse
  • Olive Garden
  • Outback
  • Red Lobster
Offers and participation may vary from location to location, so it's best to call ahead to confirm. 

Other restaurants in the metro area are offering other deals for vets and active-duty military. Proof of military service or ID is required. Those include:

BLT Steak AtlantaA 50 percent discount for parties of two or less / 25 percent discount for parties of three or more. 

Golden Corral:  “Military Appreciation Monday” dinner is 4-9 p.m. Monday.

Attractions/Business

Georgia Aquarium: Vets and active-duty personnel can select from various deals Nov. 9 through Nov. 11. Free admission for military with ID. Accompanying friends and family get 30 percent off with that ID.

World of Coca-Cola: Military personnel, who always get free admission, can buy up to four half-price tickets for their friends and family Nov. 9-Nov. 17. Military ID required.

Great Clips: Military members with proof of service can get a free haircut Nov. 11 or pick up a free haircut card to use before Dec. 31. Non-military customers who pay for a haircut on Veterans Day get a free haircut card to give to vets/active military. After Nov. 11, veterans must have the card to get the free haircut.
