Kids Can Go Hunt Candy Canes at Biello Park

The Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency will hold its 3rd annual Canes & Cocoa event on Saturday, Dec. 7 at J.J. Biello Park.

The Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency is inviting children to come out and go hunting in J.J. Biello Park.

The agency on Saturday, Dec. 7 will host its third annual Canes & Cocoa event at the Valley Playground inside the park's compound, located at 250 Brooke Boulevard in Woodstock. 

The event targets children ages 1 to 10 and, includes a candy cane hunt. Each child will receive a holiday bag and once they are divided up into different age groups, they will be released into the wild to hunt for candy canes and other goodies on designated fields. 

After the hunt, families will be able to relax with hot cocoa, holiday snacks and children will be able to partake in so-called "sleigh" ride on a tractor. Pre-registration, which ends on Monday Dec. 2, can be done online and the cost is $5 per child.
