As your prep for Christmas, here are a few closings to keep in mind:
- Schools.
- are closed this week and next. Staff returns on Mon., Jan. 2, 2012, while students are expected back on Tues., Jan. 3, 2012.
- Chattahoochee Technical College will be closed from Saturday through Jan. 2, 2012.
- Mail. The will not deliver mail on Dec. 26.
- Transportation. The observes Christmas.
- Trash. Waste Management is open on Christmas Eve, but closed on Christmas.
- Grocery stores.
- will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas.
- will close at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas.
- All Publix locations will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They will be closed on the actual holiday. Canton has three locations: , and .
- Until Friday, the at will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight. It will be open Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Closed on Christmas, the retailer will reopen on Dec. 26 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- The will be open 24 hours a day, with the exception of Christmas Eve when it will close at 8 p.m. Closed on Christmas, Walmart will reopen at 6 a.m. Dec. 26.
- Libraries. The will be closed Dec. 23-27.
- Government offices.

- The will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday for its work session and at 6 p.m. for its regular meeting. However, will be closed Dec. 23-27.
