Cherokee Students Win Neocom Scholarships

Two students from Cherokee, and one from both Etowah and Woodstock high schools were awarded scholarships from the Woodstock-based company.

NeoCom Solutions, Inc., a Woodstock-based telecommunication engineering & construction firm, has announced the winners of its scholarships. 

These scholarships provide assistance to Cherokee County residents who are currently or will be enrolled in an accredited four year college, university or two year technical college, community college or trade school.

Academic achievement and financial need are considered when giving the award. All four of our winners have maintained good academic standing while juggling very active schedules including community service, full course loads and extra curricular activities.

  • David Morrison: David is a student at Etowah High School and the winner of our $1000 scholarship. His goal is to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology majoring in chemical and biomolecular engineering.
  • Haley Haas: Haley is a student at Cherokee High School and the winner of our $1000 scholarship. Her goal is to attend Oxford College with a major in biology.
  • Jalen Hannah: Jalen is a student at Woodstock High School and the winner of our $1000 scholarship. His goal is to attend Florida Atlantic University with a major in statistics.
  • Jordan Freeman: Jordan is a student at Cherokee High School and the winner of our $1000 scholarship. His goal is to attend Mercer University with a major in physical therapy.
