March of the Toys Parade for Toys for Tots

The March of the Toys Parade for Toys for Tots will be held in Ball Ground, Georgia, beginning at 6:30PM
on Friday evening, December 6th.  Attendees are asked to bring a new,
unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

This
parade is going to be very special.  We have had some wonderful response
so far including having “Officer Don” Kennedy as our Grand Marshal
Don was a wonderful host of a children’s program on WSB TV in the 1950s and 60s
and some of our older kids are excited to see him again.  His children’s
show, The Popeye Club, had the most viewers nationally for a local produce
children’s program.  We also have a replica of the 1966 Batmobile and Andy
Taylor’s patrol car from Mayberry.  We have a US Marine Corps Color Guard
that will be leading the parade and the Marines have also agreed to help us
with the collection of toys that evening.  We have already gotten
commitments from Falcon Cheerleaders, Civil War re-enactors, the Twilight
Twirlers, the Marietta Derby Darlins, bands, dancers, floats, antique vehicles
and much more.

We hope you can join us
for this event to help us in making sure that every child has a joyous
Christmas in 2013.  Your participation will help us in making this a great
success and assist us in making sure that every child has a joyous Christmas
