March of the Toys Parade for Toys for Tots

The March of the Toys Parade for Toys for Tots will be held in downtown Ball Ground on December 6th, 2013, at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s grand marshal is “Officer Don” Kennedy from The Popeye Club that aired in the 50s and 60s on WSB TV.  The Popeye Club had the largest viewing audience nationally for a locally produced children’s program.  Other participants in this year’s parade include a replica of the 1960s Batmobile, Atlanta Falcon Cheerleaders, the Christian Fine Arts of Forsyth County Marching Band, the Twilight Twirlers, the Marietta Derby Darlins, Civil War re-enactors, dance troupes and much more.  Plus, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving in the parade, too. Everyone is invited to bring their camera to have photos with the Clauses which are absolutely free.

Attendees to the parade are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.  Members of the United States Marine Corp will be on hand to accept your donation.
